1. Our Human Rights Commitment

We pledge to:

  • Uphold and preserve human rights across our entire supply chain

  • Maintain zero tolerance for child labour, forced labour, discrimination, harassment, or unsafe working conditions

  • Partner only with suppliers who demonstrate ethical and safe labour practices

  • Conduct ongoing due diligence to identify, prevent and address risks

  • Support responsible sourcing, particularly in regions where coconuts and fresh produce are grown

  • Ensure transparency and continually improve our human rights practices

  • Take corrective action immediately should any issue be identified

2. Ethical Coconut Harvesting – Zero Use of Monkey Labour

HEYLIFE makes the following clear and formal commitment:

We do not use monkeys to harvest coconuts.

To guarantee this:

  • None of our coconut suppliers use monkey labour

  • We require regular supplier declarations confirming compliance

  • We work exclusively with plantations using human agricultural labour

  • If forced animal labour were ever discovered, HEYLIFE would terminate collaboration immediately

This reflects our belief that ethical sourcing includes the protection and fair treatment of both humans and animals.

3. Our Main Supplier Is SMETA Certified

We are proud to work with a primary supplier that is SMETA-certified — one of the world’s most widely used ethical audit formats.

What is SMETA?

SMETA stands for Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit.
It is an internationally recognised audit methodology that evaluates:

  • Health & safety

  • Environmental performance

  • Business ethics
